Opportunity

Despite all of their viral success among the who’s-who on social media, The Vintage Frames Company was seeing low conversion rates on its ecommerce site. The build and re-launch came at a time when the company was pivoting to include its own line of sunglasses in addition to its popular vintage offerings, which meant that significant changes to the layout—including featured collections, collection pages, and product images—had to be made.

Goals

To better showcase new items, as well as to streamline the process of combing through a large catalog one-of-a-kind vintage pieces, The Vintage Frames Company needed a comprehensive search platform and system to filter results, as well as more organization in its collection pages.

The Vintage Frames company also sought to increase its sales by 25%, boosting original products by placing them in the forefront. Some of the ways Noticed’s new design would accomplish this included customized upsell and cross-sell options, more granular filtering and search functions, and the integration of user-generated content.

Personalization

Though The Vintage Frames Company started out selling vintage frames, they pivoted to manufacture and offer original designs in addition to their usual fare. Because of the stark differences in the shopping experiences both offered—buying mass-produced sunglasses at a relatively inexpensive price point versus purchasing pricey one-of-a-kind vintage pieces—the site’s architecture needed to support two different journeys.

Once the customer expressed interest in one journey, integration with Nosto provided the features necessary to create segmented experiences catered to each specific persona. Dynamic product feeds throughout the site use AI algorithms to recommend products that shoppers are most likely to purchase.

Search & Filter

Because of the high number of styles and products offered, The Vintage Frames Company needed to implement a way to filter and search quickly and easily. SearchSpring provided a way to show shoppers exactly what they want to see without being distracted and navigating away. Additionally, collection and product pages were designed to feature the most important information in a location that was obvious from a scanning view.
