From herbalists to creative directors, Rasa’s team had heard the word ‘holistic’ a time or two.

After earning themselves wild growth and popularity (maybe you’ve heard of them?) the brand engaged Noticed to assist with an integrated Marketing and Delivery project: launching their newest product line, as well as a redesigned Shopify Plus store.

Project Goals

Team work makes the dream work, especially when everyone plays to their strengths. Rasa’s design chops were first-class and several of their site’s existing pages were already performing beyond industry standards, so Noticed focused on what we do best: optimizing for eCommerce conversions.

The 'Calm' Before the Storm

Usually our strategy is “foundation first”, but a reliable partner is a flexible one. 

With Rasa on the precipice of debuting its new “Calm” blend, we held off on flows and campaigns to devote our attention to this time-sensitive product drop. Employing eCommerce best practices without sacrificing Rasa’s meticulous design standards, launch week kicked off with a 5-email blitz, including early access for VIPs.

Know when to say “no”.

A website audit is crucial - not just to identify areas of opportunity, but to exercise restraint.  

It can be tempting for both merchants and developers to completely reimagine a website, but Rasa’s store featured several high-performing pages that we agreed should be optimized, not overworked. 

We opted for a semi-custom website build on a Shopify Plus theme that could keep up with their rapidly expanding brand.  

Leaving some portions of their site (mostly) untouched, we focused on redesigning key touchpoints like the homepage and PDPs, improving UX with additions like a slide-out cart, and highlighting high earners like their Taster Pack and (spoiler!) new custom quiz.

Getting personal.

La pièce de résistance? The custom integration of a 16-question, multiple choice quiz. The goal? Personalizing the perfect Rasa blend - or blends - for a customer’s unique lifestyle. 

Filled with interstitial slides that educate beyond the realm of Rasa, customers learn along the way which ingredients are beneficial - or not - for their unique lifestyles and life stages.

After receiving their primary and secondary blend recommendations, quiz-takers can easily add suggested products to their cart. 

We also collaborated with our Retention Marketing department on a seamless Klaviyo integration. We captured contact info to re-engage customers with education and recommendations pertaining to their quiz answers, recommended blends and whether they made a purchase.

Next Level Subscription Management

Having recently integrated ReCharge for subscriptions and migrated its SMS program from Voyage to Klaviyo, we saw a huge opportunity to increase Rasa’s subscription revenue through SMS marketing. 

Going beyond the basics of abandoned cart and browse, we added unique flows and functionality including customer winbacks, upsells, and the ability to modify your subscription all through SMS.
